Product Overview
4" Dryer-Ell 45° Long Turn Dryer Vent Elbow
The 4-inch Dryer-Ell 45-Degree Long Turn Dryer Vent Elbow is designed to improve airflow and solve common dryer vent length-of-run issues in residential and commercial dryer exhaust systems.
Unlike standard dryer vent elbows, the Dryer-Ell features a long-radius turn and smooth interior surface that reduces airflow resistance and friction. This design allows dryer exhaust air and lint to move more efficiently through the duct, helping improve dryer performance and reduce drying times.
Because of its optimized airflow design, the Dryer-Ell can be measured the same as straight dryer duct in most dryer vent calculations. This eliminates the additional run-length reduction normally required when using traditional dryer vent elbows in many building codes.
The Dryer-Ell is ideal for tight dryer vent installations, long dryer vent runs, and high-efficiency dryer exhaust systems where maintaining proper airflow is critical.
Key Features
-
Designed for 4-inch dryer vent duct systems
-
Long-turn radius improves airflow compared to standard elbows
-
Smooth interior surface reduces lint buildup and friction
-
Helps solve dryer vent length-of-run limitations
-
Can be counted the same as straight dryer duct in many vent calculations
-
Ideal for residential, commercial, and multi-unit dryer vent installations
Technical Note
Two mated 45-degree Dryer-Ell elbows provide approximately 6.25 inches of offset, allowing installers to easily navigate framing or structural obstacles.
Installation Tip
Any sheet metal screw can be used to secure the sections. Many HVAC professionals prefer #7 x 7/16″ Pro-Twist pan head framing sharp-point screws, which are commonly used in dryer vent and HVAC installations.
