The Vent Stent is designed for situations where repair a dryer vent in the ceiling is needed, but there is no space to add more venting because the original installation was too short. Pulling on either end could risk a disconnection elsewhere, which you and your customer want to avoid.
The Vent Stent is an unfinished piece of venting that fits over two sections where a separation has occurred. It covers the gap with enough overlap to allow a complete seal using the two provided clamps. Once the Vent Stent is clamped in place, use tape or mastic as needed.
