4" Dryer-Ell 90° Long Turn Dryer Vent Elbow
The 4-inch Dryer-Ell 90-Degree Long Turn Dryer Vent Elbow is designed to solve dryer vent length-of-run limitations while significantly improving dryer exhaust airflow and system efficiency.
Unlike traditional 90° dryer vent elbows, the Dryer-Ell features a long-radius turn and smooth interior surface that dramatically reduces friction and airflow resistance. This allows lint and exhaust air to move through the duct system more freely, helping improve dryer performance and reduce drying times.
According to ASHRAE airflow calculations and building code guidelines, the Dryer-Ell has friction loss equivalent to straight dryer duct. Because of this design advantage, it eliminates the 5-foot run-length penalty typically applied to standard 90-degree elbows with a 3.5-inch radius. In practical installations, this can effectively save up to 4.6 feet of allowable dryer vent run length.
Independent UL laboratory testing demonstrated the Dryer-Ell is up to 500% more efficient than a standard 4-inch dryer vent elbow, making it an excellent solution for long dryer vent runs and high-performance dryer exhaust systems.

Installation Tip
Any sheet metal screw can be used to secure the sections. Many HVAC professionals prefer #7 x 7/16″ Pro-Twist pan head framing sharp-point screws, commonly used in dryer vent and HVAC installations and widely available at home improvement stores.
